同日　8：00～17：00　浮御堂御本尊・阿弥陀如来の特別御開扉

※放生会（ほうじょうえ）とは、捕獲した魚や鳥獣を野に放し、殺生を戒める宗教儀式。
収穫祭・感謝祭の意味も含めて春または秋に全国の寺院や八幡社で催されます。

It is the execution of the Houjyoue ceremony by the Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine Shinto priest and special opening
to the public of Amida-nyorai.Houjyoue is the religion ceremony which lets captured fish and birds and beasts
go in a fieldand scolds cruelty.It is held in the buddhist temple and the Hachimansya in the whole country
in spring or autumn including the meaning of the harvest festival and the Thanksgiving.

琵琶湖の上に建つ浮御堂。近江八景の一つ「堅田の落雁（かたたのらくがん）」として知られます。
正式名は「海門山満月寺」。京都紫野大徳寺派に属する、臨済宗の禅寺です。

往生要集の著者・源信（恵心）僧都が、琵琶湖の湖上通船の安全と衆生済度を念じて、995年頃建立しました。
浮御堂内には、「千体仏」と呼ばれる1000体の阿弥陀仏が安置されています。
現在の浮御堂は、昭和12年に再建されたものです。

Ukimi-do built on Lake Biwa is known as one of the Omi Hakkei （近江八景）Katata-no-Rakugan
( Some wild geese which fly down from the sky in Katata)
Omi Hakkei are Eight Views of Omi made famous by Hiroshige's picturesque woodblock prints.
The formal name of Ukimido is a Kaimonzan Mangetsu-ji temple.
It is the Zen temple of Rinzai sect, it belongs to the Kyoto Murasakino Daitoku-ji Temple group.
Ukimi-do was built around 995 by Genshin( or Eshin) sozu( 源信（恵心）僧都),who was an author of
Ojyoyosyu (The Essentials of Pure Land Rebirth).
He prayed the safety of passing on the Lake Biwa and the degree of creature, and built it.
Amitabha of 1000 bodies called the "Sentaibutsu" is installed in the inside of Ukimi-do.
Present Ukimi-do was rebuilt in Showa 12(1937).

＜ＮＥＷＳ＞大津市歴史博物館企画展「湖都大津社寺の名宝」
滋賀県大津市の十社寺（浮御堂、延暦寺、西教寺、日吉大社、近江神宮、三井寺、石山寺、建部大社、岩間寺、
立木観音）の名宝が、一同に展示されます。満月寺（浮御堂）の聖観音坐像（重要文化財）も展示されます。
期間は、2009年10月10日（土）から11月23日（祝）まで。

The excellent treasure exhibition in the shrines and temples in Otsu
The excellent treasures of ten temples and shrines(Ukimi-do Temple, Enryaku-ji Temple, Saikyou-ji temple,
Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine, Omi-jingu shrine, Mii-dera Temple, Ishiyama-dera Temple, Takebe-taisha shrine,
Iwama-dera Temple, Tachiki Kannon) of Otsu city, Shiga are exhibited by all members.
The St. Kannon sedentary statue (important cultural property)of Ukimi-do Temple is exhibited, too.
