紅梅の花が空にちらりと見えるあたりを、所在を探して歩いた。
廃屋の庭で、その紅梅は見事な花を咲かせていた。
I walked the area to look for the location of the ume tree where I slightly saw ume blossoms in the sky .
In the garden of the deserted house, the ume tree let wonderful flowers bloom.

祥瑞寺の前のお店でみつけた、小さな春。
信楽焼（しがらきやき）の狸は、同じ滋賀県で作られているもので、商売繁盛の縁起物。
The small spring found at a store in front of Syouzui-ji temple.
The racoon dog of Shigaraki pottery is said to be a lucky charm of prosperous business, and is made in same Shiga prefecture.

京都を追われた蓮如は、ここ堅田の本福寺に身を寄せて再興の時を待った。
今でも堅田と蓮如の結びつきは強く、蓮如の亡くなった旧暦3月25日（蓮如忌）には、法要が営まれている。
Rennyo (蓮如,1415-1499) was the 8th head-priest of the Jōdo Shinshū sect of Buddhism.
Enryaku-ji temple considered that Rennyo and his temple Hongan-ji ( in Kyoto) the enemies of the Buddha,
and Enryaku-ji temple oppressed them. Hongan-ji temple was destroyed and he led the life as a fugitive.
He stayed at this Honpuku-ji temple in Katata and waited for the time of revival in 1467.
The relation between Katata and Rennyo is strong even now.
The buddhist service is carried on on lunar calendar March 25th when Rennyo passed away.

この時期、水仙のお供えが至る所で見られる。

サクラサク季節に、天満宮に向かって伸びる「合格の道」を撮影した写真です。
場所は、大津市本堅田６丁目から衣川（きぬがわ）３丁目にある、衣川天満宮です。
「あなたのたゆまない努力と神のご加護により 合格の道が開けます。」
衣川天満宮の「合格の道」に書かれている言葉です。
天神川沿いを写真を撮りながら、上流に向かってひたすら歩いてきて、初めてこの言葉を見つけたとき。
砂漠の中でオアシスを見つけたような、敬虔な気持ちになりました。（もっといい例えがあるといいのですが・・・）
「合格の道」の言葉を書いた方はどんな方だったのか、私にはわかりませんが、
やれることをしっかりやった上で、人知を超えて不思議な力が働くことは、この方も感じておられたのではないでしょうか。
明日が、あなたにとって、そういう一日となりますように。

真剣にひとつのことに打ち込んでいる人の言葉というのは、人の心に響くものがあるんだなぁ、とつくづく思います。

「合格の道」は、以前、この2枚を1枚に加工して、2008年4月19日にこのブログに出した作品です。
この2枚は、印刷したものを知人にプレゼントしたこともあり、組写真として出すつもりはありませんでした。
2008年のある時期、私は、その人に会いに行くことができるのは、
今年の夏が最後になる、という気がしていました。
連絡をとること、会いに行くこと、なにかひとつ手伝うこと、写真を贈ること。
それくらいしか、当時の私には思いつかなかったのです。
その人がどこにいるかわからないけれど、自分が会いに行けるうちに、
「ごめんなさい」と「ありがとう」を言っておきたかった。
自分の中の一番優しい感情を、ずっと温めてくれていたような人です。
そういう写真でしたから、自分の中にずっとしまい込んで行くものだと思っていました。
しかし、その後、自分の中でいろんなことがありました。おかげさまで、私はまた写真を撮っています。
そして、こういう形で出したほうが、写真も、その人も、喜んでくれると思うようになりました。

見えているのは、琵琶湖大橋と、対岸の守山市今浜町。
赤く錆びているのは、造船所から琵琶湖に突き出している鉄の柱。
この造船所自体は、往時のようには使われていないらしい。
今堅田は造船所の町でもある。有名な杢兵衛造船所はこの近く。
They are Biwako Ohashi Bridge and a town of Imahama (Moriyama city) in an opposite shore in Lake Biwa.
This is a pillar of the iron built toward Lake Biwa from the shipyard.This shipyard itself is not used like old days.
Imakatata is also a town of a shipyard. A famous Mokube shipyard is near this.

琵琶湖に面した場所なので、家は高い場所に作られている。
お花畑と柿の木、そして蔵。瀬戸内海に面した海辺の家を思わせる。
Because it is the place that faced Lake Biwa-ko, the house is made in the high place.
A flower garden, the tree of persimmon, and a warehouse.
They make me imagine the house in the beach where it faced the Inland Sea.

堅田は内湖の町でもある。内湖は近年、天然のビオトープとして注目されている。
内湖とは、「琵琶湖の周辺にある水域をいい、内陸に張り巡らされた水路を通じて、
町へも琵琶湖へも行き来できる。ヨシを船で運んだり、風よけの港になったりして暮らしと強く結びついていた。」

Katata is also a town of an inner lake. The inner lake attracts attention recently as natural biotope.
An inner lake, "the water area which is around Lake Biwa is said,
and it can keep company also with a town through the waterway spread around inland also to Lake Biwa.
Yoshi was carried by ship, or it became a harbor of the windscreen, and was strongly connected with the life. "

堅田内湖と琵琶湖の間に位置するのが、今堅田1丁目。昔からの町並みと畑、日本の農村風景がある。
春先にここを通ると、いつも誰かが農作業をされている。写真右側は、堅田内湖の側を走る道路。
It's Imakatata 1-chome to be located between Katata InnerLake and Lake Biwa Lake.
There are traditional houses and the fields.Farm village scenery of Japan remains.
When I pass here in early spring, someone is always farming.
The picture right side is a road which passes through the side of Katada Inner Lake.

今堅田の泉福寺もまた、蓮如と縁の深いお寺。
（参考）比叡山延暦寺が本願寺と蓮如を仏敵としたことで、蓮如は京都を追われた。
応仁元年（1467）、蓮如は、本堅田の本福寺に身を寄せて、再興の時を待つ。
応仁二年（1468）、延暦寺西塔の衆徒が、大軍を もって堅田を攻撃した（堅田大責）。
蓮如は、比叡山に近い堅田の地をあきらめ、文明三年（1471）4月、越前吉崎へと向かうことになる。
Sempuku-ji temple in Imakatata is also closely connected with Rennyo.

出島灯台（でけじまとうだい）は、明治８年（1875）に作られた木造の灯台。
杢兵衛造船所の敷地内から、琵琶湖大橋と一緒に撮影。
The Dekejima lighthouse is a wooden lighthouse made in Meiji 8 (1875).
From the site of Mokube shipyard , I photographed it with Biwako Ohashi Bridge.
出島灯台（でけじまとうだい）について
今堅田の浜の突端に建つこの灯台は、高さ約7.8メートルの高床式木造です。
四本の柱と中心に立つ支柱の計5本の柱で支え、支柱の頭部に火袋を取り付けています。
光源は大正7年（1918）年までランプを使用、以後は電灯になりました。
かつて湖上関があったと言われるこの場所は、琵琶湖がくびれて対岸が迫っており、
座礁や難破事故が絶えなかった難所でもありました。
近年に入ってからも舟の出入りが多かったことから、
明治８年（1875年）に航行の安全を願って建てられたものです。
昭和36年（1961）9月の第二室戸台風により倒壊寸前の状態となりましたが、
地元の皆さんの熱心な保存運動により、昭和48年（1973）復旧されました。
地元有志の手で、平成元年（1989）から点灯が再開されています。

前々回にも出てきたが、堅田では、町のあちこちに古い常夜灯が残っている。
愛宕信仰と結びついていることが見て取れる。こちらは伊豆神田神社前の駐車場にて撮影。
I referred in the time before last, old night light is left here and there in the town in Katata.
You can realize that it's related to Atago belief. I take this picture in a parking lot in front of Izu Kanda shirine.

農機具の置いてある路地を行くと、その先にこんな風景が広がっていた。
When I went the alley on which farm machines and implements are put, such scenery had spread at the point.
琵琶湖大橋について
大津市今堅田と守山市今浜を結ぶ琵琶湖大橋。
昭和39年（1964）9月に開通し、琵琶湖大橋を境に、琵琶湖は北湖と南湖に分かれます。
下を行きかう大型観光船のために、今堅田側が少し高く、緩やかなアーチ型になっています。
長さ1350m・最大の高さ26.3mの鋼鉄製で、１日当たり交通量は、約35000台（Ｈ18）です。
